Oleo Hydraulic buffers absorb all the energy of an impacting body by dissipating the energy internally and stops the impacting body with no damage to the impacting body itself whatsoever.

The industrial buffers are sealed units and are maintanance free. They can handle many impacts on a daily basis and will typically last 10 to 15 years, under normal conditions, with no maintanance required.
The buffers are designed and specified according to each individual application to ensure that the buffers will absorb whatever the particular installation can throw at them.

The buffer works on a simple principal of forcing oil from one chamber to another under high pressure with a tapered pin through the centre of the orifice, which gradually restricts the flow. Restricting the oil flow results in the absorption of the impact energy.

The buffers can be tailor-made to suit any environment or impact situation as long as the impact direction is in a straight line. The only limitiation is that no buffer can absorb impact speeds of more than 5m/s.
